Important: Some Ask For Kasasa Media Assets Are Expiring

Written by Kasasa | Dec 11, 2019 5:00:00 AM

IMPORTANT: A portion of Kasasa commercials will be expiring and must be pulled from local buys in your market and internal use within your branch, website, social media, and anywhere else you may be using these assets.

Are you running Kasasa media on local TV, radio, or streaming advertisements or on your lobby TV, hold music, or website? The licensing rights for some of these assets will be expiring soon after the new year. It’s extremely important that you replace these assets before January 31, 2020.

We are no longer running these assets in Kasasa-managed marketing plans but need your help in removing them from any of your local or internal advertisements. Please review the expiring assets, available assets, and frequently asked questions below for more information.

Frequently asked questions

Why do TV and radio assets expire?

The majority of national media requires paid licensing to use the music, footage, and likeness of the talent. When they expire, that means these media assets have reached the end of their agreed term to be used.

What happens if my institution or Kasasa continues to run these assets?

Running these assets without licensing for the music, voiceovers, acting talent, and video content could lead to fines from any or all of the entities associated with the assets, including the representing talent agencies.

How do I know ahead of time when an asset expires?

The assets viewable on YouTube and Connect have the expiration dates in the description.

What videos or audio assets can my institution run instead?

Replace expired assets with our award-winning creative! Our Take Back Banking videos (:15s and :30s) won two prestigious Telly Awards in 2019 and are available for your use. There are plenty of radio assets ready for use as well. See the charts above for which assets are available and links to each.
