By leveraging the power of the national Kasasa network, the event intends to break through the noise, negativity, and distractions in the financial industry and shine a light on the meaningful work community financial institutions do every day. 

On November 3, 2023, the goal is to have over 400 institutions and more than 20,000 people participate in their communities in this massive outpouring of love and positivity to make a significant impact and create 100,000 acts of kindness in a single day. The event's human-centered approach, combined with the partnership with influencer Charlie Rocket, sets it apart from traditional financial industry campaigns.

Q: Who is Charlie Rocket, and what is his role in the event? 

A: Charlie "Rocket" Jabaley is a former music manager, Grammy Award Winner, Iron Man Athlete, brain tumor survivor, and philanthropist. He is a worldwide motivational speaker and the founder of the non-profit Dream Machine USA.  His foundation focuses on helping the unseen, making dreams come true (over a thousand to date), and spread positivity and hope through his connections and social media presence.  Charlie Rocket will be the influencer partner for the Best Day Ever event, working with Kasasa to make life-changing dreams come true for individuals in different DMAs through the Small Town, Big Dreams Tour from September 15 to October 15. He will also be hosting a "Best Day Ever" event in LA on November 3 from which he will acxtivate his 9 million followers across the nation to create acts of kindness.

Q: What will my financial institution receive upon opting into the event? 

A: ​​​​​​​Upon opting into the event, your KFI will receive various resources and support to ensure successful participation. These include event activation materials, detailed logistic guidance, social and PR best practice guidance and tools, and staff talk tracks. The Kasasa team will host zoom webinars to guide participating FIs every step of the way! Your KFI will also be part of the post-event awareness strategy with PR and social tactics to showcase the impact achieved.

Promotion of event

Kasasa will engage in pre-event promotion to generate excitement and awareness about the Best Day Ever. This includes social media campaigns, email marketing, and other promotional activities to attract participants and volunteers. 

Event activation materials and logistic guidance

Participating KFIs will receive comprehensive event activation materials and detailed guidance on how to plan and execute the event. The guidance will cover best practices, event setup, and staff training. 

Capes

KFIs will receive capes to be worn by employees during the event, symbolizing their involvement in spreading love and positivity. This component also brings more intrigue and attention to the events happening across the nation.

Envelopes and encouraging notes

KFIs will receive red envelopes to distribute during the event, along with a positive message note. (KFIs have the option to include cash in the envelope).

Virtual team pep rally with Charlie Rocket

The participation package includes a virtual team pep-rally session with influencer Charlie Rocket. This session will set the tone for the day, and inspire participating teams to engage in the event's activities wholeheartedly with the mission to change lives together. 

Social and PR best practice guidance

KFIs will receive guidance on social media and public relations best practices to maximize the event's impact and gain media coverage. 

Post-event PR guidance

After the event, Kasasa will provide KFIs with guidance on how to capitalize on the event's success through post-event public relations efforts. 

#KasasaLove participation badge on Finder

KFIs will receive a permanent #KasasaLove participation badge on their Finder page to showcase their involvement in the Best Day Ever event. 

Event management best practice guidance

KFIs will receive advice on event management best practices to ensure a smooth and successful execution of the event.

Capes

Q: What color are the capes for Best Day Ever event?

A: KFIs that opt-in and submit their materials order form by Sept. 8 will be able to select from four cape colors – red, orange, kelly green, and royal blue. Their capes will also be co-branded, featuring their large KFI logo and a smaller Kasasa logo. Order forms received Sept. 9 and after will receive generic red Kasasa capes. This is due to merchandise inventory constraints, production, and shipping timelines.

Q: How many capes will we receive for the event?

A: Kasasa provides 50 Capes per KFI. KFI does have the option to purchase additional capes through the order form.

Q: Can we use the capes for future events or promotions after the Best Day Ever event is over? 

A: Yes, after the Best Day Ever event, you can retain and reuse the co-branded capes for future events or promotions.  

Q: When can I expect my capes to be delivered? 

A: Your capes will be shipped out the week of Oct. 16 and are expected to arrive during the week of Oct. 23. You will receive an email with your tracking number once they are dispatched. Please note that both the capes and red envelopes will be shipped together in the same box.

Please note the cape selection deadline is Sept. 8.  After that date, any cape orders default to red, Kasasa branded only.

Each envelope contains motivational note and the option for KFI to insert cash into red envelopes (ranging from $5 to $100).  Kasasa recommends budgeting $500 per branch to give out Nov. 3.  The motivational note includes a QR code that directs recipients to the FI's Finder listing page, where they can learn more about the institution and open accounts.

Each employee will greet the individuals with a warm message of kindness and offer them a red envelope containing cash and an encouraging note. For instance: "Hi, I am with [KFI Name], and we wanted to make your day a little brighter today. Can I give you this?" Recipients will be randomly selected, creating genuine moments of human connection and delight. 

Q: How can my KFI prepare for the "activation" during the Best Day Ever event?

A: To prepare for the "activation" on the Best Day Ever, your KFI should follow the implementation steps and guidelines provided by Kasasa. Designate a Torchbearer from your institution to lead the implementation process and ensure that all employees are informed and engaged. Plan the event locations and times where people tend to wait or gather, such as at grocery stores, coffee shops, malls, gyms, or community events. Your KFI should also promote the event in your community through social media, emails, and other communication channels to encourage participation and build excitement.
